1971
1971 saw the release of the movie “Le Mans,” starring American legend Steve McQueen. Driving the ultra-rare Porsche 917K that bore the TAG Heuer shield over Gulf’s iconic orange and blue livery, the King of Cool immortalized the first chapter in the TAG Heuer X Gulf saga.
2018
To mark the beginning of their official partnership, TAG Heuer and Gulf launched a special edition Monaco at Basel World 2018. Sporting its mythical steel square case, the watch featured the Gulf colors for the first time. The ultra-limited 50-piece watch honored the 50th anniversary of Gulf’s first victory in the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
2022
Redesigned to celebrate the TAG Heuer X Gulf partnership at Monaco Historic Grand Prix, the special edition TAG Heuer Monaco Gulf is as rebellious as ever. The first of its kind to encapsulate the in-house Heuer 02 movement, this mythical piece takes this true design monument to a whole new level.
