1971-1979
Jack Heuer strikes a deal with Scuderia Ferrari to provide timekeeping equipment. Their drivers start wearing Heuer watches, and the watchmaker becomes the first non-automotive brand to sponsor motor racing.
1985
Heuer joins TAG (Techniques d’Avant-Garde) and as TAG Heuer the brand becomes McLaren’s racing team sponsor. The following year the TAG Heuer Formula 1 is launched, tested by McLaren drivers.
1992-2003
TAG Heuer is the official timekeeper of Formula 1®. The top drivers wear the circuit’s top watch, the hugely successful TAG Heuer Formula 1.
2016
TAG Heuer becomes Official Timekeeper and Partner of RED BULL Racing Formula 1® Team.
2025
In 2025, TAG Heuer returns as the Official Timekeeper of Formula 1®, continuing its legacy with the sport’s top drivers and teams. An exciting new chapter begins.
